Re: Firefox 13 question
The new Adobe Flash update method does not require admin to update once the new service is installed. It registers a service that checks for and applies updates as the SYSTEM account. I would assume this is the same process Firefox will utilize to provide silent background updates.

Re: Lock the firefox settings(like proxy settings)
I'm currently using the CCK Addon https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/cck/ to lock down settings. It can be placed in the distribution directory of your firefox install through GPO and will be installed hidden to the user.

Re: Security-Updates for 10 ESR?
Firefox can only update itself without admin if it is installed in the user's profile instead of program files. Updates are disabled by default so you can control which updates are deployed and when. I evaluate the update for a week on my test environment then just deploy the update with AD to all m...

Re: FM Firefox CE using Nightly Build
The fact that the file description of firefox.exe does not match a standard release is becoming a serious issue. After updating Symantec Endpoint the file is now detected as a threat because the description isn't what it should be. Having the file description be ~APPVERSION or MOZILLADEVELOPERPREVIE...

FM Firefox CE using Nightly Build
In my testing I've found a few things that are preventing me from deploying the newer versions of FM Firefox CE. It appears that you are using the nightly build package to create the MSIs which results in a few undesirable differences from a standard Firefox install. The Firefox button in the upper ...

Re: Is front motion firefox made for supervising employees?
FrontMotion Firefox is not meant for monitoring employees. It allows central management of settings which the normal Firefox install does not. They can now restrict some functions of Firefox to provide better security but you probably won't notice any difference other than the name.

Did you deploy the Community Edition? The standard Firefox msi does not accept settings from gpo.

Re: Default Browser (default INSTALLEVEL changed in 3.6.16)
By default all current versions of Firefox FMCE do not set themselves as the default browser per community request. If you wish it to be set as the default you have to change the INSTALLLEVEL property to 4 or greater. As a general rule, any item in the Feature table with a LEVEL number equal to or l...

If it's in the property table why not just edit it with orca or insted for the time being?

Re: 5.0 CE MSI showing as Minefield (en-US)
This isn't an issue. The CE version is always branded that way in the about screen. Due to licensing the CE version can't use the standard icons or use the Mozilla name.
