Re: v9.0.1 Issues
Eric,
Please please please when you are compiling 10-ERS take into account especially the naming issue... I've had more complaints than ANYTHING else, when it comes to the name. MozillaDeveloperPreview is just not something the users expect to see and then they freak out :S

v9.0.1 Issues
I realize I may be double-posting here, but I just wanted to post all my current issues in regards to my FMCE v9.0.1 push, and hope to get some comments: *) Ad-block Plus Add-On not enabled by default: - So, in my environment, I have some users who've never had ABP installed, some who installed it t...

Re: Extended Support Version Of Firefox
>> I am curious what that GPO control will involve, any more info on that? Yep. So they said they'll be making an add-on that can't be removed (well, not easily via the GUI, kinda like the .NET crap that was around for a while) based on their old gpo-addon project that I can't seem to locate. >> On ...

Re: Extended Support Version Of Firefox

For one, I proposed they just simply hire Eric and be done with it! ;) All kidding aside tho, http://blogs.usenix.org/2011/12/07/mozilla-adds-e...

Re: FM Firefox CE using Nightly Build
Hey DP; Yea, I'm gonna kinda second this one. As part of our pushes we pin firefox to the start menu and taskbar for them. As indicated above, when you pin 9.0.1 browser it shows as MozillaDeveloperPreview. Also when you go to Help-->About it states "Nightly". Is there something that could be done a...

How to force enable AdBlock Plus
Hey guys; @Pendragon: Dude the new packager RULES! I LOVE IT! :) Thank you for taking into consideration our comments about certificates and add-ons! Issue: I've created a 9.0.1 package and bundled it with ABP. The upgrade from 3.6.12 (our old base) to 9.0.1 goes smoothly. However, upon running the ...

Re: Default Browser (default INSTALLEVEL changed in 3.6.16)
Hi all: So per this post, I went ahead and using the new 3.6.20 FMCE pkg, created a new .mst file, verified that the PROPERTY-->INSTALLLEVEL was set to 3, and manually set Feature-->F_SetDefaultBrowser entry's "Level" to 3 and pushed the package as an upgrade to my system via GPO. I then set IE to d...
