Re: Firefox 36.0.1 MSI
Yeah and the same with the ESR also. I prioritize the ESR version because that's what most people deploy. 36.x version coming soon though. Thanks for waiting! Would it be possible to prioritise packaging based upon volume of downloads, or does it make more sense to do the different language version...

Re: FireFox version 36 .msi
It's not up on the download page yet, it's not helped by it being buggy, and 36.0.1 is out now fixing a top crasher plus a few other undesirable problems.

Re: Firefox 34 MSI
i`m sry, but i`m not familiar with how much time it will take, and how long it will be, approximately ? :) From my experience, weeks. I don't know what the limitation seems to be, whether it's space or computational power or I/O (maybe DragonPern could shed some light on it), but there are a lot of...

Re: Firefox 34 MSI
It's going to take a while based on how long it normally takes to build a new release.asd wrote:hi,DraconPern wrote:Sorry about the slowness, between holidays, flu, and regular work, things really got behind.

Re: Version 29 out
Yes, FF29 is out, but loss of Add-on bar is annoying. It's something that Chrome does wrong and whilst it hasn't been turned on by default for some number of versions of Firefox taking the option away to restore it is copying the same mistake. Annoying that I now have to rely on a plugin to restore ...

Re: FF 21 version is out
I too am seeing all of these issues, opening new tab results in 'The address isn't valid' page etc. Trying to log into a page with a self signed cert for the first time too, just results in a failure to load the page and no exception page.

Re: Firefox 13 question
FYI, I don't know when this happened, but FF is like Chrome now in that it does not require admin rights to install. It detects a limited user account and if so, installs in the user's profile where it has write access rather than %programfiles%. So unless your environment is fairly locked down, li...

Re: Firefox 13 question
I really need to test out what the effects of turning this on will be. Especially on the interaction between the MSI installer system and firefox's auto update. I think though for most of my users, people are pushing the MSI through some managed system like SCCM. The auto update kind of is in the m...

Re: Firefox 13 question
Hi there,
The above didn't seem to work. I was expecting that I would be updated to 13.0.1, is there some kind of delay on when the software updates itself?

Re: Firefox 13 question
Got it. Third and final option for those who can't wait for DraconPern to fulfill this request (which may never come.) Add a modified mozilla.cfg file to the deploy using a transform. Put the following code into a text file named addmozcfg.vbs (very slightly modified from original located here ) Op...

Re: Firefox 13 question
Or I can just get an MSI, create a transform via Orca and deploy via GPO as assigned software to the computer as I do with all my other software. Got it. Well if you're going through all that you might as well do an Administrative install of the MSI and edit the mozilla.cfg file to enable app updat...

Re: Firefox 13 question
If you're not using the FrontMotion CE version or using Group Policy or some such to control deploy of Firefox you might as well use a scripted silent install of the official Firefox. Run Firefox 13 with a silent install switch once, forget it and let the auto update handle it from there. I'd have ...

Re: Firefox 13 question
I would guess it would be possible, but since Frontmotion Firefox is a nonstandard (read: non-Mozilla) build of Firefox it would require Frontmotion to put up their own update servers for you to pull the updates from, which is what all the other nonstandard builds do. Updating from the official (Mo...

Re: Firefox 13 question
I'd be interested in whether this is possible as selectable option. And yes updates will be installed under a system account like Adobe does for Flash Player.
