Would like to get 5.0 packaged

Post by Antti » Mon Jul 18, 2011 12:24 am

5.0 is not in the packager. Am I missing something? Someone reported a while back that policies would not work with 5.0 (CE). Is this the current status of 5.0.

I would use 3.6.18 but it is not in the packager either. I cannot use even v. 4.something - it has no official language packs on Mozilla's site any more. Now we are running with (known) vulnerabilities. 5.0 or 3.6.18 in the packager would be appreciated.

5.0 and now 3.6.18 are both in the testing packager at http://store.frontmotion.com/FirefoxPackagerV2 I will probably deprecate the old packager since the new one does pretty much everything the old one did and more.

I don't see any options in the new packager. Icons?

Ok, had to go forward a bit to see the options. Will test.

Hum... Any suggestion on making it easier to navigate? I am not quite a UI designer. :(

If I just had known it won't build the package based on the first couple of choices, there wouldn't have been much trouble. If the Flash plugin option does not work, the option should be removed. For those who have not tried the new packager, custom name "Mozilla Firefox" for the package is not going to look good, since "Firefox" is appended to the name, use just "Mozilla", if you want it to look official.
