Firefox 10 & 10 ESR released

Postby BrandonMills » Tue Jan 31, 2012 4:11 pm

Mozilla has released Firefox 10 and Firefox 10 ESR! Can't wait to get 10 ESR deployed so we can have a semi-stable browser version again.

They probably also added some new settings so the ADM files might need to be refreshed as well.

DraconPern any idea on Firefox 10 and what you are going to do with that Extended Support Edition?

I am probably going to name the ESR files, FirefoxESR-10.0-en-US, etc. The CE version of ESR, FMFirefoxESR-10.0-en-US, the regular versions Firefox-10.0-en-US, the CE version FMFirefoxCE-10.0-en-US. Thoughts? I don't think I can do FMFirefoxCEESR since there's a strange length limitation that I have run into for the msi file name.

FirefoxESR-10.0 will be out first. I will put this in a staging area first for people to test out just incase there's some error.

So now there will be three? The regular Firefox, the CE ESR Firefox, and a CE Firefox. The naming sounds fine to me. You probably also want to update the ADM files while your at it. Thanks again!

Hey Eric,

Is this the CE-ESR, or just ESR?

There will be 4 not just 3, since the ESR will also have a group policy enabled version.

Might not want to go crazy with the 10.0 builds because, per recent history, 10.0.1 is out.

will there be a new ADM/X template update release?
for example:
stops the request to send performance data from displaying
pref("toolkit.telemetry.rejected", true/false);
