Mozilla Maintenance Service

I have installed verions 18.0.1 and 20.0.1 once installed i ran the mozillaserivce_installer. i am unable to update to the latest version without admin rights. I dont have this issue when running the exe from firefox. does anyone have any thoughts on why this isnt functioning correctly?

You can't use the maintenance service to update the install if you are installing from the MSI. You have to use newer MSI to do the update.

so the repackaged msi that frontmotion does, doesnt allow the service to run or is it blocked somehow.

The MSI just doesn't install the service, so it doesn't run automatically. Curious though why you want to auto update through the service even though you are able to deploy MSI?

I wish for the MSI not to install the maintenance service files. Why are they included if they can not be used?
