Re: FrontMotion MSIs NOT obsolete
I had discussion with Mike Kaply as he seems to be the project manager. His setup developer also answered and said they cannot implement an native good MSI as this would not fit into their build system and standard update process. I complained that MSI should not have an updater and need to be a ful...

Firefox 57.x
Hi you know what I'm asking now... I wonder why there was a 56.0.2 release days after 57.x was released. It looks like you are always 4-6 weeks behind the normal release cycle! Is there any chance to release newer versions faster, please? With the security fixes in mind it is not really good to run ...

Automatic add-on updates are disabled
MSI packages have updates disabled. This is absolutely correct and perfect how it is, but currently the per user add-on updates are also disabled. This is no good idea as every users need to update manually their plugins. Normally if Firefox detects that a new version has been installed and tries to...

Re: Automatic Update
What should we do now? Rollback v31 and re-install? or just copy the mozilla.cfg to the computers? Is that enough?

Create MUI package with all languages
Hi I found the Addon Locale2MUI that allows what we all need... But this need to be packaged into a MSI file for deployment. Are you able to create a single MSI with Firefox (English) + Locale2MUI + All Language packs ? The latest version of Locale2MUI is not on Mozilla.org, but the developer of thi...

Re: Firefox 7 Available
Only as a note, I have added a file permission policy to the Program Files\Mozilla Firefox folder that removes the previous CHANGE permission and inherits the main folder permissions. By this addition I'm back to read-only on Mozilla folder and users will not be able to upgrade again as they do not ...

Re: Firefox 7 Available
That may be the update mechanism of Firefox... but ok, not our to do here. I'm not sure what happens here on my side but I have very many users that have a broken Firefox now after they have been upgraded automatically to 7.0.1. See screenthot attached. If they wouldn't have permission (if you would...

Re: Firefox 7 Available
No, you must wipe on uninstall. The main reason is "cleanup" the application folder to start with a clean directory from scratch on next install (maybe something is cluttered). Additionally I see no reason to keep outdated addons. Maybe you deploy 7.0 and your addon is only 5.x. If addons are not pa...

Time gap between Mozilla and FrontMotion releases?
Why does it take so many days after the Mozilla release to get the MSI files released?
My users have been auto-upgraded to 7.x from 6.0.2 and now some machines are cluttered, too. Can you make sure the updates are really disabled!?
Can you release faster, please?

Re: Firefox 7 Available
Same issues here. All my users have been auto-upgraded to 7.x :( :( :(. The main reason why this upgrade has worked - seems to be that the Firefox folder has CHANGE permissions for Users from past non-MSI setups. Can you remove the completer application folder if we "re-install", please? Then I will...
