FMFirefoxCE v74, v75, v76 ignore GPO settings
FMFirefoxCE-76.0.1-de ignores our GPO settings, for example security.enterprise_roots.enabled. Previous version 72.0.2 works fine (and more older versions). New info since my previous message above: The GPO settings do not work (they get not applied) since FMFirefoxCE v74. I tested negative: 1) FMFi...

Disable auto-update with FF63+?
Currently with FirefoxCE we have set app.update.enabled = false to prevent auto updates.
Mozilla removed/deactivated this setting with Firefox 63, will FMFirefoxCE have an option to disable auto updates (and also the warning info bar that appears after some time)?

Re: Disable ability to add extensions, addons and themes.
Hi, This is a very old thread, it is the only one I just found for the very same task that I now have: Restricting installation of addons using GPOs. I haven't done that much research by now, so I'd like to know if someone was able to do this via GPO (blacklist, whitelist, ...)? Firefox 59.0.2 curre...

Re: Firefox 58.0.2 CE: Some GPO setting do not work
Yes, manually set in about:config it works.
"not work" via gpo means that these settings are not applied and not locked as if not set in gpo.

Firefox 58.0.2 CE: Some GPO setting do not work
I test Firefox 58.0.2 CE de (German). I added some settings to admx/adml templates, but some do not work. It seems that all browser.newtabpage.activity-stream.* settings do not apply via GPO. I added: privacy.trackingprotection.introCount = 20 (it works) (counter >=20 means that no introduction bubb...

Firefox CE: English info texts in German version
In German (de) Firefox CE 58.0.2, the info texts from Mozilla explaining the new tab page or trackingprotection are displayed in English language. I assume that %LOCALE% variable is not set to de-de for German? Other things are localized. With FMFirefoxCE-58.0.2-de.msi I see in about:config that gen...

64 Bit (x64): Planned? Are there advantages?
I noticed that Mozilla offers 64 Bit Firefox and that there are plans that during an auto-update a 32 Bit version will be replaced on x64 systems with 64 Bit version. I still use x86 version on Windows 10 x64. Does somebody here have experience with Firefox 64 Bit? Is it planned for FirefoxCE to off...

Re: security.enterprise_roots.enabled
The option has been made visible in about:config earlier now for Firefox 52 instead of 53. So, we can test it soon when FirefoxCE 52 will be available. For those who want to add it to GPO template, you need to add the following lines in ADMX: <policy name="SECURITY_ENTERPRISE_ROOTS_ENABLED" class="M...

Re: security.enterprise_roots.enabled
As with other newer settings that I like to configure by GPO that are missing in the ADMX template file because it is too old, I just added it myself. But this time, it does not work. My assumption is that it might be because Mozilla decided to hide this option in about:config (see https://bug98304....

FF 50 CE planned (after FF 49 CE got skipped)?
Is it planned to offer FmFirefox CE 50 (v49 obviously got skipped, latest CE version available is 48.0.2, regular v50 just released)?
Thanks,
Michael

FF 49 will support company SSL certificates (Windows certs)
Good news for companies regarding self signed certificates. After several years of blocking the request to accept SSL certificates in Windows store, now a solution is coming. Firefox 49 will support Windows root certificates, here is the bugzilla thread: https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=...

FirefoxCE 44.0.2?
Just for information, will FirefoxCE 44.0.2 be made available, or will the next CE version be 45?
If yes, I would wait for 44.0.2, if not I would probably use 44.0.1 for roll-out.
Thanks.

Re: Duplicate windows when set as default
We have the same from time to time for some users. The solution is to open Internet Explorer, set IE as default browser, close it and then open Firefox and re-set Firefox as default browser. I have not logged what registry keys get changed in order to find what the problem is. But this is the only w...

Re: Corporate IT says FrontMotion not supported
Firefox does not support Windows Certificate Store, so company ssl certificates are a problem. There is no easy way, certificates need to be installed into each users' local profile database. For Intranet and other internal webbased applications that you secure with ssl certificates (https), Firefox...
