Re: Firefox not opening hyperlinks in run dialogue/programs
I don't know if DraconPern is reading new entries in the forum, but the wrong registry keys are still in the 69.0.1 MSI... so fixing it with a transform file is still necessary.

Re: FrontMotion MSIs NOT obsolete
Mozilla does provide MSIs, but that are just EXE wrappers. But you can use the Frontmotion Firefox MSIs together with the group policy templates provided by Mike Kaply. So the only problem is to provide new MSI installers in short time. I created a ticket at the Mozilla support forum... to pick up t...

FrontMotion MSIs NOT obsolete
Hi, just for the record... Mozilla has begun releasing MSIs for Firefox. BUT: - there's no GUI - customizations have to be done through "Properties" Table instead of Shortcut/Folder-tables - according to this: https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/firefox-customization-msi-installers the MSI "is a wr...

Re: FF 21 version is out
I'm using Firefox 21 MSI in the German version and noticed, that some dialogs and menus are not internationalized anymore  This affects for example the "Save file" dialogue or the character enconding menu. Also the preferred homepage language was so to en-US instead of de-DE. In the regular i...

Re: Remove desktop icon
Hi, sorry to correct you, Micha, but you will need a new transform file for every new version when you *change* a line using a transform file - the icon name includes the version. So if you use an "old" transform file with a newer installer file you'll get a default windows icon instead of the firef...

Localized search engines
Hi, I installed Firefox-7.0.1-de.msi, but the search engines are still for US, so the eBay search engine searches at ebay.com instead of ebay.de. Is there a way to include localized search engines via transform file (put the mst and the search engine files in one folder) or do I need to do an admini...

Re: Remove desktop icon
Hi, you can use Microsoft's free Orca utility to create a transform file for the MSI. With this file you are able to customize the installation, e. g. delete/create/modify shortcuts/files/folders/registry keys, cut out files/components you don't want to be installed and so on. When you have created ...
