OK, now I remember: that .adm setting just disables Firefox from checking... it doesn't actually disable it as the default browser. To do that you need to change the INSTALLEVEL from 5 to 3, which you can do by creating your own .mst transform file in Orca and then applying that in the GPO in your A...

Re: File not found
I don't know. It's been a while, but as I recall, this was the only way I could get it to work.awarberg wrote: Is it really necessary to apply the transformation in addition to disabling the default browser check in firefox.adm?

2.0.0.1 Won't install on one workstation
I've deployed FFCE 2.0.0.1 successfully on several machines. I had 2.0 installed before, and I set the 2.0.0.1 to uninstall the old one and install the new one (because I had it set to upgrade over the existing one, but fresh installs weren't working, so I changed it and now it works fine on all but...

FFCE installed ok, but Flash not installed
Every user who has the FFCE 2.0.0.0 installed gets an error that Flash is not installed. I have to manually install it as administrator. I intend to upgrade to 2.0.0.1 very shortly, and I know Adobe just came out with a new version of Flash recently. Will that perhaps fix this problem?

Installation error "2324"
I frequently get an installer error code "2324". The quick fix is to remove FFCE in add/remove programs and restart (allowing the GPO to reinstall). That was the solution when I first deployed, but now it's happening to machines that already had FFCE successfully installed. Any ideas?

FFCE 2.0 - Transform to disable Firefox as default browser
After much assistance, I have found that the easiest way to deploy FFCE but still retain the default browser settings as they were is to: a) apply the .mst transform file I uploaded here: http://www.yourfilelink.com/get.php?fid=235275 (skip the ads and click "Download File") b) use the Firefox.adm t...

update to previous post
Perhaps I should also clarify that I've already deployed FFCE 2.0 before I knoew that it would automatically set as default. I have a few users who are bitchin' about it now. Any fix anyone can post must work on an already existing GPO install (machine policy). Thanks.

FFCE 2.0 as GPO - how do I keep IE as default browser?
How do I set it up so the FFCE msi installs ok, but that IE is still set as the default browser? I have tried the normal firefox msi installer, but I want to stick with the FFCE because you can set the homepage with the .adm file. Thanks.
