Re: Firefox 37.0.1 MSI
This is a few clicks and 10 seconds. Sorry, that really is no problem. My statement was related to planning (emphasis on the hoping part, not the clicking). It is also ok for me if a version gets skipped. Only thing I wanted to say is that it would be nice if it would be said if a version will not ...

Re: Firefox 37.0.1 MSI
Yes, it would be nice to get at least an info about when to expect a new Firefox CE release, so that planning is possible and not only waiting and hoping and re-checking the download site every few days. After v36 was not released, it would be easier if I would know that a particular version will no...

Re: Virus Alert: FMFirefoxCE-33.0.1
We whitelisted the updater.exe (with hashsum value) in Symantec, so it will not get blocked anymore.

Re: GPO - Install FIREFOX 32 - Error code 2324
We could only solve this by adding the updater.exe in Symantec Endpoint Admin Console as whitelisted (allowed). We have two sites, and it only occurs on one site - there we whitelisted the file and deployed Firefox then successfully (otherwise it was not possible), on the other site with Symantec no...

Re: browser.cache.disk.parent_directory
Robert,
the cache directory is located in AppData\Local instead of AppData\Roaming by default.
And that is how it works here, without configuring something.

Re: Disabling Hardware Acceleration via GPO- where is it??
I just googeld for "firefox disable hardware acceleration" and found this link, for example: http://www.askvg.com/how-to-disable-hardware-acceleration-gpu-rendering-in-mozilla-firefox-4-0-to-fix-font-problem/ in order to get the settings in Firefox config. Those two mentioned settings for disabling ...

Re: GPO - Install FIREFOX 32 - Error code 2324
I just downloaded FirefoxCE-32.0.1-de.msi and installed it on a test machine. Install finishes, then I start Firefox and I also get the same error message with error code 2324. Previous installed version was FirefoxCE-25.0.1-de.msi which was fine (as several other versions before, too). Do others al...

Re: Updated ADM / ADMX
For a quick solution, I modified the admx/adml files myself and tested it successfully working. I added just the one setting that is important for me. In admx file I added: <category name="DATAREPORTING_CATEGORY" displayName="$(string.DATAREPORTING_CATEGORY)"> <parentCategory ref="LOCKED_CATEGORY" /...

Re: Updated ADM / ADMX
I support this request, I also need it.
I updated from FirefoxCE 19 to FirefoxCE 25.0.1, and now the toolbar at the bottom (data is sent to Mozilla) cannot be disabled by GPO with the outdated admx files.
Thanks,
Michael

Re: Firefox 17.0.1 and above - deactivate "save password"
Hi,
we use FirefoxCE and the provided GPOs.
To prevent saving of passwords, we set these values in the GPOs:
signon.prefillForms = false
signon.rememberSignons = false
Then you can install the provided FirefoxCE MSI on all clients without modifying a cfg.

Re: 15.0.1
Thanks!
The download links I see (after Shift+Reload) are still for 15.0, but by changing the download url manually to 15.0.1, I was able to download 15.0.1-de this morning and my test with it was successful, so far.

Re: 10.0.2, 10.0.2 ESR, and 3.6.27 released
Is there any difference between the normal and the ESR version? I thought that the difference is that Mozilla offers MSI installer for ESR version and the update channel is a different one, so that it does not update itself to next major release. If that is the case, I do not see a reason to offer b...

Re: Remove desktop icon
Instead of Orca I recommend InstEd ( http://www.instedit.com ), also for free (the pro version is not needed). Then you can easily create and modify transform files (*.mst) instead of manipulating the original msi setup file. If you do not have a transform file, yet, open the msi file with InstEd, c...

Re: Windows 7, Proxy by PAC, NTLM authentication
I had similar problems with Firefox network settings (not related to a specific version, it was Firefox 4 I first tested it with, was the same with Firefox 5, and I guess that it might still be the same with the latest version). In our case it was not a PAC file as we do not use it, but I thought th...
