Re: Firefox 3.6.12 Crashing
This still happens after a complete system format and profile reset. The only plugins I have installed are flash, shockwave, java, and silverlight. Flash is the only one that has been updated recently and this issue did not occur till 3.6.12 so I will try to install 3.6.13 and see what happens.

Re: Firefox 3.6.12 Crashing
Deleting their Firefox profile did not do the trick. I'm just thinking its a buggy version. Bring on 3.6.13

Re: Firefox 3.6.12 Crashing
Nope just using Symantec End Point Protection. No AVG. I think it has to do with the fact that 3.6.12 was bundled with an old version of Flash then I updated it via group policy. Once I removed or disabled Flash from the Firefox installer things have seen better.

Has anyone noticed the increase about of crashing in this latest version of Firefox? It crashes nearly constantly. I'm not sure whether it's Firefox or Adobe Flash.

Re: No desktop icon on win7-64bit
First up if you are using the Windows Server 2008 R2 scheme in your domain you can have powershell scripts run on startup and login. Second, why not just create a separate OU for your Windows 7 machines. Create a top level policy that effects every machine and OS then create OUs and policy's that ta...

Is this the final version? Or will you release another one with the Flash update?

Mozilla plans to silently update Firefox
In Firefox version 4 this will be the default. I'm wondering how this will play into FrontMotion's version of Firefox. Here's a link to an article talking about this issue. I'm worried about how this will play into user permissions. http://www.computerworld.com/s/article/9180272/Mozilla_plans_to_sil...

Re: No desktop icon on win7-64bit
If your looking for a way to control what programs get pinned and unpinned from the taskbar or start menu then look over this powershell script. If you have at least one Windows 2008 R2 server you can even have this run during log in via group policy. http://blog.crayon.no/blogs/janegil/archive/2010...

Re: Won't stay pinned to Taskbar
I was just thinking about this the other day. Microsoft gave us no built in group policy controls on what goes on the new task bar. They included ways to allow or disallow the pinning of programs but gave no control on pinning programs administratively. So in till they update group policy preference...

Re: FireFox 3.6
I have been running FrontMotion Firefox at a high school for about five years now. While IE has tons of lock down options I find it way too tide in to the OS's security. Plus Firefox renders pages faster and offers great amount of extensions if you want to allow them. Also, you have lots of control ...
