Cant completely disable addons in Firefox 4.0.1

We have followed the post in http://forums.frontmotion.com/viewtopic ... dons#p3679 and set XPINSTALL.ENABLED to stop people installing addons. If you then go to tools / addons and select any of the featured addons and select "+ add to Firefox" you get a message to state addons have been restricted etc but if you search for any addon from the same page and then select to install it, it installs perfectly. Has anyone else seen this issue? Is there any other setting to stop people adding addons in this way?

Also found this article also http://forums.mozillazine.org/viewtopic ... &t=2139605 that people have said at the end of the article:

I also am having the same issue on Firefox 4. I have xpinstall.enabled set to false, but extensions happily install without issue on Firefox 4. Any ideas on how to disable extension installing?

Sounds like a bug to me. And if it is possible for extensions to install without user knowledge, then we've got some real security problems.

Does this mean you cant completely disable addons in Firefox 4?
