Changes to the Packager V2

Post by DraconPern » Mon Oct 03, 2011 5:13 am

I made some important changes to the packager system V2.

The ability to include Adobe Flash is now available for all versions, even on the recent public packages that don't include Flash. This was done since many have reported issues using Adobe's installer. If adobe flash is checked, it will include Flash. In addition, instead of including an old version, the new version will always be included. The version of Flash that will be included doesn't show up on the packager at the moment, but will be added in the next few days.

The other change is the ability to include essentially javascript settings directly into the package. The system will make the changes necessary to include settings in a file called mozilla.cfg. This means, you can now deploy locked settings on the non GPO enabled Mozilla Firefox! You can enter settings in the CFG Addition tab. Note that because it is javascript, you can potentially do a lot of different things besides just locking down settings.
