FrontMotion Firefox is not meant for monitoring employees. It allows central management of settings which the normal Firefox install does not. They can now restrict some functions of Firefox to provide better security but you probably won't notice any difference other than the name.

Front Motion Firefox is used to standardise the roll out of Firefox so that everyone is on the same version and has the same updates etc. It may have been that your IT admin. dept. used to deploy via a script and now deploy via MSI installer instead.

I use Front Motion Firefox and install on login to the computer account because my users don't have the administrative privileges required to install Firefox for themselves. That way I don't have to run around to everyone's computer to install it, and also, it disables the update notification and checking.
