Firefox 9.0 Error AccessibleMarshal.dll failed to register

Hello,

thanks for the new Frontmotion Edition 9.0.1, but I cannot update Frontmotion Firefox CE from Version 5.0 to Version 9.0.1.
Wether I try to update or uninstall the old version and then install the new version, the installation gives me a popup showing the following message:

Module C:\Programme\Mozilla Firefox\AccessibleMarshal.dll failed to register. HRESULT -2147010895. Contact your support personnel.

I get the choice between cancel, retry or ignore.
When I click on ignore it finishes the installation but then I cannot start Firefox.

Machine's OS: Win2003Server with SP2

In an older forum-posting the download-file for firefox 9.0.1 have to updating (http://forums.frontmotion.com/viewtopic ... =393#p1326).

Any ideas?

Hi,

i can confirm this error. I`ve try to update from 8.01 to 9.01 and got the same message.

I`m on windows xp sp3.

I also can confirm this error on Windows XP SP3 while upgrading from 8.0.1 to 9.0.1
The deploy on Windows 7 Prof. (x64) works fine.

I think I know the reason.. there may be a dependency on the vc2008 run time... I just noticed that Firefox includes msvcm80.dll msvcp80.dll and msvcr80.dll need to investigate farther, but I think that's probably the reason.

I get the same error on Windows 7 x64 when upgrading from 8.0.1. I'm using the US-ENG version

I'm just glad I test things before I deploy.

Hi, i have this problem too. WXPx86 (SP3), clear install msi via AD/GPO per machine.
(version 9.0.1 cz and sk)

A silly request, but could you please post back to this thread when you have found a fix or workaround DraconPern? I have a good handful of machines I would like to push the newer version out to when it is ready to rock

Same here - Windows 7 32 bit Embeded SP1

Two ways to fix this issue.

1) Install VS2005 SP1 redistributable at http://www.microsoft.com/download/en/de ... n&id=26347

or

2) Wait until a 'refreshed' package of FMFirefoxCE 9.0.1 which should be done in a few hours.
