Hello,
after deploying FireFox 9.0.1, some clients reported to have issues with the installation.
They reported to have been prompted to the location of the MSI package of the currently installed version of FireFox first (e.g. Firefox-7.0.1-de.msi) and shortly after multiple error messages ("Error 1310. Error writing to file: C:\Config.Msi\XXXXXXX.rbf. Verify that you have access to that directory.") appeared on the screen.
We then stopped the deployment and are now trying to resolve this issue.
Any suggestions? Is this a known issue?

Re: Issue installing FM FF on some clients
It sounds like you deleted your old Firefox-7.0.1-de.msi from your installation source directory. Best fix is to restore that file at the location it's looking for. This is happening because in order to install the new version, the old version has to be uninstalled first. And a lot of times with an AD deployment, it means the old msi also needs to be accessed.

After putting in the old MSI packages back into the directory, the deinstallation does indeed finish but shows some error messages as described above ("Error 1310. Error writing to file: C:\Config.Msi\XXXXXXX.rbf", about 2 - 3 times).
These can be skipped but requires user input which interrupts our unattended installation we are trying to achieve. Though this error might not be part of the package itself, but I'm not sure.

are you running out of hd space? config.msi is a temp directory used by windows installer.

Re: Issue installing FM FF on some clients
My package of FMFF 9.0.1 is not working. It's not a problem of installation, it's a problem of configuration.
When I install my package on a new computer, I cannot go into the add-ons tab anymore and my GPO is not applying (as if it was not a FM version)...
I don't really have time to check this issue so I downgraded everyone to 8.0.1
I'll try to check this later
