What version do I download?

Hi All,

When I visit the Frontmotion download page the current downloads
Are for version 9x and version 3x. What is the difference and which
Do i download? I want to apply local policies tO pc's that don't connect to
Our domain and i don't want to rely on chrome . CSS files to hide the
Options tab after forcing the pcs to go through a configured proxy. Our current
Domain environment has 3x installed but I cannot remember why I
Went for that.

9 if you want all the latest features.
Some people don't like 9 for various reasons so 3 is still available.

(Seriously though, you are administrating a network and you don't know how to download two versions and test both out?)

Ok I'll hold my hands up to this one I guess I was
Being lazy, I did want to gather what
People's preferences were and why,

I recommend 8.0.1 if you use sites with self-signed certs, or RSS feeds. We've had major issues with 9.0.1 in that regard. 3.x has also worked fine for us, though. We still use it on some machines as they are on a different version of ZENworks, and I stopped updating apps on it until we get moved completely over.

Either one will work, it's really a GUI preference for the most part.
