Any chance that there will be an updated ADM template as well. Looks like the plugin updater appears again on first launch.

The templates on the site still say "Updated for 3.6.24 and 8.0" should I just ignore that and download anyway?

Don't know what I am missing here, but I can still download .xpi for add-ons / extensions???
I need to stop my end-users doing this..
I have 'enabled' the 'disable xpi install' in 'user' and 'computer' configuration.. to no avail.
I'm just about to 'disable' it to see if it's the wrong way round.
Any one else got any suggestions?

I think that setting has been broken for some time now. What I do now instead is just block the add on site via our web filter. Works pretty well with that method.

Can you let me know the url to block please?
Much appreciated for your swift answer.

Does
http://addons.mozilla.org work for blocking or are there others?

https://addons.mozilla.org
Is what I use and kills any add on downloads or even viewing the add on page.

The problem I see with blocking extensions via Web Filter is that, if the user can get hold of an extension by some other means he will still be able to install and use it.
We have dealt with this issue using the extension.minAppCompatibleVersion setting on the policy. We have just set this setting to 99.0, so that all extensions from the user become disabled and he cannot install any extension.
