DP/Eric,
I've created a 10.0.9 ESR package under our pkger account, (pkg id#f84c6fcb-a48c-4447-b60b-2ef5bc6e1d5b) and have begun test deployment. My findings are as follows:
*) the mozilla.cfg file is not being created. As a result none of the custom lockpreference settings are taking
*) as I always do, I set the default browser to IE first, then installed the custom msi, using a transform file that sets the property table installevel to 5 and teh feature table's setdefault browser to 3. As of writing, it is NOT overriding the setting with firefox :/
*) the ABP addon is greyed out??
Test Environment is a Windows 7 Virtualbox. I rolled back 3 times, and observed the same behavior. I also tried installing on my own laptop with the same results.
Can you please look into what may have gone wrong?
Thanks,

Any solution for that?

Let me take a look. I am working on some upgrades for the packager, so I should be able to get it fixed fairly quickly.

I looked at that package (f84c6fcb-a48c-4447-b60b-2ef5bc6e1d5b) , mozilla.cfg is being created and it's settings applied. Did you accidently install a different MSI?

No? As indicated above, I simply installed it using a TRANFORMS file (.mst) that overrode the installlevel and SetDefaultBrowser properties. The result was no cfg file, the browser did not override my IE default setting and I could view/change all settings under about:config despite having it locked down via GPO. I tried this under 3 separate VM sessions and 1 plain Win 7 install (as a sysadmin, I'm asked to thoroughly test each install and verify behavior hence the overkill)
Suggestions?
In any case, I look forward to 10.0.10 with none of these side-effects!

How was the .mst file created?
