Hi,
I am new to the topic and product. So far I figured out we need to use the CE ( community edition ), as we want to deploy and configure Firefox via active directory ( gpo ). Trying to download I got confused as it looks like there are three different packages available. Could and would anybody tell me what is the difference between them?
Thanks in advance!

Version number and all that entails.
FMFirefoxCE-27 is for the bleeding edge folks. Although it should really have been updated to 28 by now.
FMFirefoxCEESR-24.4 is for those who don't like change so much but still want a supported version.
FMFirefoxCE-3.6.28 is for people who really don't like change, are stuck in the past for some reason or thought March 13th, 2012 was a really great day.

You only need the Community Edition if you need GPO control of firefox settings. Otherwise either version can be deployed with Group Policy
