Disable import bookmarks wizard on launch?

Post by 755coop6 » Tue Aug 16, 2005 8:50 am

I'm using the FireFox MSI in an installation that does not save profiles for users. As a result, each time they launch FireFox (after logging in), they are prompted to import (the non-existant) bookmarks from IE. Is there any way to disable this? Thanks.

you can use the mozilla.adm with FrontMotion firefox to set these settings

profile.allow_automigration set to true
profile.confirm_automigration set to false

It should tell Firefox to do an auto import and not ask the user.

Unfortunately, the manged Firefox installation uses a different icon than Firedox normally does, along with the application name not having "Mozilla" in it. Is there any way to make this look like normal Firefox?

That's unfortunate, but I can understand why now at least.
Have you considered trying to submit your changes to the main Firefox branch so they are incorporated for all to use?
