browser.cache.disk.parent_directory

Post by sweeper » Tue Nov 25, 2014 3:15 am

Gents,

in our company we want to make use of the GPOs. We are deploying terminal services and roaming profiles. Now we want to have the FF Cache directory outside the roaming profile to avoid having it loaded via the network.
In the mozilla adm there is an option "browser.cache.disk.parent_directory" which indicates that there could be a path set for the cache directory.
Unfortunatly I can't insert any strings but integers in the field. It is labeled with "number".

Any hints for me how to avoid this or set another location for the cache dir? Wie are using Firefox Community Edition ESR with the mozilla.adm and the firefox.adm installed in the central policy pool.
I already did a search for "browser.cache.disk.parent_directory" in the Forum, but wasn't lucky to find the desired information. Please excuse if this question was already answered before, but in that case please show me the link.

thanks in advance and cheers,
Robert

Robert,

the cache directory is located in AppData\Local instead of AppData\Roaming by default.
And that is how it works here, without configuring something.
