Firefox 1.5.0.3 is out

Firefox 1.5.0.3 is out, with some very important security fixes.

Hi,

I just downloaded the 1.5.0.3 msi and I installed it and when I went to Help/About in Firefox the version said 1.5.0.2. Is the msi version supposed to be 1.5.0.2 instead of 1.5.0.3? I am creating a deployment package and I label it by version so I want to make sure it is labelled correctly.

Version checked, the 1.5.0.3 MSI do contain 1.5.0.3 binaries.

Did you have version 1.5.0.2 installed previously?

I may have but as I was waiting for the MSI on this site to come out and the last one I saw was 1.5.0.1. Just 2 weeks ago I was here on the site looking for the 1.5.0.2 msi. I happen to check yesterday and saw 1.5.0.3 was available. I deployed it as I usually do and that is when I noticed the version as 1.5.0.2.

It seems the 1.5.0.3 msi file I downloaded yesterday was a little over 600KB and when I tried to execute it is said that it was not a valid Windows Installer file. I tried executing one of the other msi files I downloaded previously and it was fine. I then downloaded 1.5.0.3 again and saw the file was now 6.8MB. I executed it and it was fine. I then deployed it as I usually do and my version of Firefix is now 1.5.0.3.

I figured it out....
