Small bug in browser.download.dir-setting

Post by Gurgelhals » Mon May 15, 2006 3:25 pm

Hi Dracon and Co, can you reproduce (and correct) this:
If you set an existing folder to be your default download dir, the setting does not become effective. It will only do, after the user "confirms" this setting by himself. Afterwards, he cannot change it and it works...

Furthermore, the folder has to exist prior to this setting, it won't be created - and that's what I suppose it should be, at least that's the case for browser. cache. disk. parent_directory (for example).

Apart from that: very nice work, we will donate for sure.
Greetings

This should fix it.

set browser.download.useDownloadDir to enable
set browser.download.folderList to 2

No, unfortunatly not. Plus, wouldn't it be better if it was created ahead of time for all users so that security can be set?
