First I wanted to thank you for providing a great French .MSI for firefox 1.5.04.
My problem is: using Wise i've created a .WSI project from your .MSI to add special settings according to my compagny wishes.
Everything i wanted is included in your package: bookmarks kept, as well as homepage and proxy settings, but how on earth did you do that in your MSI ?
Did you use Firefox.adm or Mozilla.adm to modify Upgrade options, and how to put in in a MSI file or MST ?
Maybe you have links for some tutorials ?
Sorry for such a lot of questions and maybe my english grammary :?
I'm quite beginner using Wise Package Studio or Orca too but I'm learning
Thanks by advance for any help

I am guessing you mean 'how do you keep the user's bookmarks when upgrading?'

Answer: User's bookmarks are stored in their profile i.e. c:\documents and settings, so they don't require any special setting to keep. The bookmark files that comes with firefox is used only for new users.

Thanks for your answer but i've tried to repackage Firefox 1.5.0.x with Snapshot Only Method ( per machine ) and each time a new profile is created, overwriting old settings, and this time , with YOUR package I see the old profile is kept.
Maybe something in my process is wrong but i can't find what.
Is is an internal function of Firefox ( so maybe i have to modify something in a .js file ) ?
Which repackaging tools are you using ?
I MUST find how to do because I will not be able to wait your new MSI each time a new version is available from firefox ... :(
Again thanks Anyone for providing me some hints....

OK, I've understood: to not modify this settings, i just have to not capture the files stored in c:\documents in settings\....
Am I right ?
