Adobe Plugin Problems

Post by odogg » Mon Feb 05, 2007 11:37 am

Hi guys,
first I want to thank you for providing those great .msi packages.
I was evaluating the 2.0.0.1 de Pack for company usage.
We are running xp with sp2 and got firefox 2.0 installed locally.
If i assign firefox via group policy everything works fine, but when i try to open an pdf file i get an error message "Adobe plugin not found".
Any idea where i have to look for a clue?
(Maybe the plugin is named in another way for the english version?)
Thanks in advance
odogg
P.s. i am referring to this pack Firefox-2.0.0.1-de.msi

I had this problem when there were two versions of acrobat reader installed.
We used to have user published 7.0.8, then deployed to the computer 8.0.
People that actually installed the published version ended up with both 7.0.8 and 8.0.

The tricky part is that published applications only show up in the add/remove programs menu of the user which installed the application - when an administrator brings it up it does not show in the list.
