Bug with FMFirefox 2.0.0.4
Hi DraconPern,
Summer is a great period for upgrading a whole set of computers....
I'm trying to use your FrontMotion Firefox version and avoid the GPO extension as I was using before.
Questions :
1) In your latest Mozilla.adm v1.4, there's a default Settings section. I assume that this will allow use to set a parameter without locking it. At the moment, it doesn't work for me. Is it a bug ? (explained here event if it's not exactly the same thing ? http://forums.frontmotion.com/viewtopic.php?t=431)
The GPO is read, the parameters are in the registry but not applied by Firefox.
2) If this was not the intention, do you have a way to set a parameter without locking it (as I was doing with the GPO extension) ?
3) In the process of upgrading my 200 computers, I'd like to know if you will release 2.0.0.5 soon ? Just to avoid deploying 2.0.0.4 and restarting in 2 days
Thanks in advance
UPDATE : One more question, could you please make an adm file that includes all the extensions options please ?
I know you have a way to extract every possible settings in Firefox so could you please extract one where my extensions are included ?
That would allow me to configure the extensions quickly.
The idea would be that you extract all the settings and I will make adm by extension. Is it possible ?
UPDATE 2 : I have a problem when upgrading from my previous installed version on all computers : the option app.update.enabled is locked to false.
Whatever I try to set with the GPO, it doesn't change anything and always stays to false..... I don't know exactly why it does this. Can you help ?

I have the same issue with default settings in the FMFirefoxCE-2.0.0.4-sv-SE.msi package, I assumed firefox would read the default settings when generating a new profile but I checked with regmon and firefox never reads that part off the registry.
FMFirefoxCE-2.0.0.4-sv-SE.msi also registers as the US-EN version in the registry.
