Active Directory Deployment problem

Post by pberndt » Tue Nov 13, 2007 9:58 am

We will be installing Firefox onto all our teacher and student computers and are currently testing that deployment. Firefox installs without any problems. However, after adding the Firefox.adm in Active Directory our test computers do not have the proxy and home page changes made. We can look at the applied group policy settings and they are listed on the test workstation. So the client is getting the registry settings from AD, but it does not apply it to Firefox.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

How did you install Firefox? Manually? If so, that will not work for us as we are installing Firefox on several hunderd client computers.

I install by AD too...but my problem was the version of Firefox...I did a mistake installing a normal Firefox.msi, not a Frontmotion Firefox.msi...do you understand?

Today I have installed (by AD) Frontmotion Firefox and the Firefox group policy works perfectly.

OK - I understand.

Where did you get your normal Firefox msi file?
