FrontmotionCE/Mozilla.adm and default settings

Hello,
I have been trying to set some default values in FirefoxCE using the Mozilla.adm (AD).
Firefox did not read these values although thex show up in the correct registry hive HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Policies\Mozilla\defaultPref
Configuring Firefox with locked settings works fine. Firefox.adm settings work fine, too.
As we have a very heterogenous environment with travelling users, numerous countries having their own proxy and therefore various proxy settings, we do not want to have the network settings, especially the automatic proxy URL locked. Same goes for the homepage and some other settings, too.
What can I do to use the defaultPref in Frontmotion Firefox CE?
