Should the .adm files work with a "normal" Firefox install?

Hi everyone ...

I've just stumbled across this site a couple of days ago, and so far I'm really liking what I've found! ;)

I do have one big question though ... and that's whether the firefox/mozilla .adm files should work just the same with a "normal" Firefox installation?

IE - If I've already used the regular Firefox installer, can I just load the adm files into AD and configure everything the same as if I were using the customised .MSI?

The reason I ask that, is because I've actually just tried it out for myself, and it DOESN'T seem to be working.

So ... what I'm really trying to work out is whether I've just done something wrong [which is VERY possible] ... or if there's actually some real reason why this won't actually work for me?

I'd really appreciate any help/advice that you might be able to offer me ...

Regards,
--David
