Upgrade CE via GPO published app

We are having a few problems with advertised shortcuts when upgrading FF CE 3.0.5 to 3.0.10. We publish the application via group policy and set the 'required upgrade' option for users that already choose to install 3.0.5.

During logon 3.0.5 is removed with no issue and 3.0.10 is advertised on the start menu. The issue lies with the advertised shortcut on the desktop. Users that previously had 3.0.5 installed had been used to starting Firefox from the desktop shortcut. During uninstallation of 3.0.5 this is removed and no advertised shortcut appears on the desktop for 3.0.10 even though we have the option set in InstallShield.

This is rather confusing for the users as at first glance it appears that Firfox has been uninstalled.

We have tried several different settings in InstallShield, all to no avail.

Any assistance or comments would be greatly appreciated.
