Locking Homepage/proxy settings.

Post by phishfood » Tue Mar 23, 2010 5:22 am

Running on server2003/windows XP SP3 I have installed Firefox CE 3.6.

I have added the firefox.adm template to our Group Policy Objects.

Running Firefox CE as a member of the user group "Staff" pulls the proxy and homepage as set in the GPO just fine, it also greys out the boxes which is what we want. Logging on as any other user group (different homepage/proxy) still pulls the settings defined in the GPO but does not prevent the user from changing them.

I think I have applied the exact same properties to both GPO and I am testing on a single PC with both user groups.

So... I'm confused. Any help would be appreciated.

Nevermind....Eye Dee Ten Tee error. It helps when your test users are members of the correct groups.

I'll go get my coat.

How did you managed to get locked entries from firefox.adm ?

Our installation never locks entries, entries from mozilla.adm are completely ignored and entries from firefox.adm can be modified by any user.
