Using the logfile to report bugs

Post by DraconPern » Thu Feb 05, 2004 2:25 am

Hello, just to remind everyone, the login creates a log file at c:\fmlogin.txt to make debugging easier. It logs function names, parameters, and inputs inaddition to putting a time stamp and process information. Password fields are obviously not included.

If possible, it would greatly accelerate the process if the log file was zipped up and sent to eric@frontmotion.com along with a short message.

Thanks!

New releases no longer generates log files as there is not much need for them anymore since most bugs are non-threatening. Plus they tended to take up lots of disk space).
