by Saymaad » Tue Oct 18, 2005 2:05 am
I've made 14 themes by now and all of them crashes when i use CAD keys and enter the password before the animation completes its just that they keep loading but num caps & scroll lock is working & HDD led keeps on blinking.
PS : If I enter the password after the complete animation it works perfectly could you please help me ??
Edit : I dont know what PS means

Hello, just want to confirm that this is an actual crash in FMLogin. Can you try Alt+Tab and see if the normal login dialog is already running? It is possible that the theme and the backend went out of sync. This can happen if for example, the theme is already at the login prompt through an animation, but the backend is not. Then when you enter the password and sent the FMBtnOk messesage, the back doesn't receive it, and your theme 'hangs'
Another possible reason is that there is no stops in the main timeline.
Can you send one theme that you know consistently has the problem?

The theme hangs at state :
FMLogingIn
and you may know that at that frame the user can not alt + tab.
The out of sync you told could be the problem it happens to all my theme cause they have fade animations which i some times dont let complete and it causes crashes.
I will mail the theme to you so you can check it the registry reading option i am asking plz look into it and you can you event log of particular theme to detect exact frame and your backend coordination I dont know if there is a log created of this.

On the registry reading, here are some ideas.
FSCommand("FMRegLoadHKLMKey", "<subkey>,<valuename>,<variable>")
so to get the value of Guest's picture path.
FSCommand("FMRegLoadHKLMKey", "SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Hints\Guest", "PictureSource", "picturepath");
Then the variable picturepath will contain the value.
