The packager has been updated with the new version. The noncustomized msi files are building.

Should we try this again to see if the "default browser" issue is fixed? I had no luck with 3.0.7.
Re: Firefox 3.0.8 is now out
3.0.7 fixed the default browser for me, after resetting my default settings with a handy app called 'default browser' (as I had used it in 3.0.6 to set FF as default) then told Firefox to be the default within the Tools window.

Re: Firefox 3.0.8 is now out
Thanks for the very quick response on this release. It's greatly appreciated.
Re: Firefox 3.0.8 is now out
Thanks, it was fast.
There is no more Know your rights bar/button, that's good. Something's wrong with the default browser setting, though. On systems that had IE as default the users cannot change the default to IE. Both browsers report not being the default when checked. Systems that had Firefox as default still have it as default.

Re: Firefox 3.0.8 is now out
Can confirm this is happening in the Community Edition as well, but maybe with a twist. AFAIK, Firefox already *was* the def browser on affected systems; now links from apps open in IE, even if FF is already up and running.
Both browsers claim they are not the default browser, and clicking "set as default browser" endlessly does nothing.
Is the above fix for the Packager FF also applied to the CE?

Thanks for the reply. It hasn't affected all machines, fortunately.
I'm on the announce list - will the CE downloads with this issue corrected be posted to it?

I'll sent an update out on the mailing list when everything is updated.

Re: Firefox 3.0.8 is now out
Just thought of this - since they have the same filename, if i drop this into my deployment share, will the GPO realize it's not the same and reinstall it? Or do i need to create an installation policy for this update that "upgrades" the older 3.0.8 package..?
